Obtaining Human Subjects Approval
All doctoral student research involving the use of human subjects (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups, experiments, etc.) must be submitted for human subjects review and approved by the University Human Subjects Review Committee, Institutional Review Board (IRB), in compliance with Federal law.
Procedures on how to submit one's research using the Digital Commons system and needed documents may be found at the Office of Research Development site.
References to college-level committees apply to master's thesis work, not to doctoral dissertations.
